Your Implementation Roadmap

Four phases, each building on the last. Your existing operations continue uninterrupted throughout.

Week 1–2

Discovery & Configuration

  • Requirement mapping session with your ops, sales, and finance teams
  • Distribution workflow analysis — channels, territories, SKU structure, pricing tiers, scheme rules
  • SalesPort instance provisioned as a dedicated deployment (not shared multi-tenant)
  • Module configuration: DMS, SFA, billing, procurement, HRMS — based on your scope
  • Master data preparation: distributor list, retailer list, SKU master, pricing master, scheme master

Outcome

A configured SalesPort instance loaded with your master data, ready for pilot testing.

Week 3–4

Data Migration & App Setup

  • Historical data migration from Tally, Excel, or existing systems
  • Tally / SAP integration setup and first sync verification
  • Custom-branded mobile apps (Android) built with your logo and colour scheme
  • Beat plan creation for pilot territory — retailer assignment, visit frequency, route sequencing
  • User accounts created for field team, distributors, managers, and admins

Outcome

Mobile apps ready for distribution. Tally integration live. Pilot territory mapped and loaded.

Week 5–6

Training & Parallel Run

  • Field team training — hands-on sessions for order capture, GPS check-in, beat compliance
  • Manager training — dashboard navigation, MIS reports, scheme configuration
  • Finance team training — Tally sync verification, payment reconciliation, credit limit management
  • 2-week parallel run: new system runs alongside existing process to catch edge cases
  • Daily standup during parallel run to fix issues in real time

Outcome

Your team is trained, confident, and has verified the system against real-world operations for two full weeks.

Week 7–8

Go-Live & Support

  • Full go-live: paper and old systems retired, SalesPort becomes the primary operational tool
  • 30-day war room: dedicated WhatsApp group with SalesPort team for instant issue resolution
  • Edge case fixes — pricing exceptions, territory-specific scheme rules, integration quirks
  • Adoption monitoring: daily check on app login rates, order capture rates, beat compliance
  • Handover to monthly AMC support with SLA-backed response times

Outcome

SalesPort is live, adopted, and running your distribution. Ongoing support included in your monthly AMC.

Implementation FAQ

Can deployment be faster than 4 weeks?
Yes. For simpler deployments (DMS + SFA only, single territory, no procurement), we have gone live in as few as 2-3 weeks. The 4-8 week timeline accounts for full-stack deployments with multiple modules, Tally integration, and cross-territory rollouts.
What if we need custom modules or workflows?
Custom module development is scoped during the Week 1-2 discovery phase. Standard customisations (territory-specific pricing, custom reports, workflow rules) are included in the deployment. Entirely new module development adds 2-4 weeks depending on complexity.
Do we need to stop our current operations during deployment?
No. The parallel run in Weeks 5-6 means your existing process continues uninterrupted while SalesPort runs alongside it. There is no downtime and no disruption to your distribution during deployment.
What happens after go-live?
Post-go-live support is included in your monthly AMC. You get a dedicated account manager, SLA-backed issue resolution, and access to new features and updates as they are released. The 30-day war room ensures that any teething issues are resolved before you transition to standard support.
How many people from our team need to be involved?
Typically 3-5 key people: an operations lead (for workflow mapping), a finance lead (for Tally integration), a regional sales manager (for field team training), and an IT contact (for app distribution and user management). SalesPort handles all technical setup — your team focuses on domain knowledge and adoption.
