Why a Lucknow-built DMS beats a Bangalore SaaS one.

North India runs the deepest FMCG and agri distribution networks in the country — and a distributor warehouse cycle does not pause for a Bangalore stand-up. Three things only a local vendor can give you:

On-the-ground deployment

Our delivery engineers reach a distributor warehouse or depot in UP, Bihar, Uttarakhand or MP within four to eight hours by road — not the next available flight. Pilot rollouts get hands-on supervision from day one.

Hindi-first field-rep training

Distributor staff and field sales reps get trained in Hindi on their actual mobile app — not via a translated PDF. Order capture, attendance, retailer-visit forms and scheme acknowledgements all run bilingual by default.

North-India operating-hour overlap

Distributor dispatch runs early morning, retailer visits through the day, collection at end-of-day. Our support hours match those cycles — not a SaaS company's 11am-7pm calendar built around the South.

Frequently asked

Why pick a Lucknow-based DMS vendor over a Bangalore or Mumbai SaaS?

Three reasons. (1) Field implementation in UP, Bihar, Uttarakhand and MP — our deployment engineers reach a distributor warehouse in 4–8 hours by road, not the next flight. (2) Hindi-first training for distributor staff and field sales reps who don't always work in English. (3) Support-hour overlap with North-India trade cycles, which run on early-morning dispatch and end-of-day collection, not a Bangalore stand-up calendar.

Which UP / North-India distributors already run on SalesPort?

Premier Agri (multi-zone agri distribution with the highest payment volume on SalesPort) and Rajesh Masala (a leading Indian spice brand managing 5,600+ SKUs across a nationwide network) are two of the most-deployed clients on the FMCG / agri side. Across India we now power distribution for 45 companies — case studies for Premier Agri and Rajesh Masala are public at sortstring.com/case-studies.

Does SalesPort cover both primary and secondary sales?

Yes. Primary sales (company → distributor / super-stockist) and secondary sales (distributor → retailer) run on the same customer record, with a third tertiary-sales view if your category needs it. Order capture, dispatch, scheme application, GST e-invoicing and credit-control all flow through one platform — so the same SKU code, retailer code and scheme code travel end-to-end.

Can field sales reps use the app offline in rural UP?

Yes. The SalesPort mobile app captures orders, attendance and GPS waypoints fully offline — common in tier-3 UP and rural Bihar — and syncs opportunistically when connectivity returns. Our worst-case production deployments have seen reps stay offline 11 days and sync cleanly. No data loss, no duplicate-record reconciliation.

How does the platform handle FMCG schemes and trade promotions?

Native scheme engine. Slab-based, value-based, free-good, percentage discount, channel-specific, region-specific and seasonal schemes are all supported, with auto-application at order entry and a downstream claim-management workflow for distributor and retailer claims. Across deployments, the engine has applied 17.43 Lakh schemes to date and runs a scheme-leakage audit dashboard for the brand finance team.

Does SalesPort integrate with Tally and SAP?

Yes. Bidirectional Tally Prime sync covers invoices, payments and ledger postings. SAP Business One and SAP HANA integrations are in production across larger clients. GST e-invoicing with IRN + QR rendering is built-in, not a plug-in. The integrations have processed ₹2,677 Cr of collections and 4.78 Lakh invoices to date.

What's the typical deployment timeline for a mid-sized UP distributor?

Four to eight weeks for a single-organisation rollout: one week of operations mapping at HQ + a representative depot, two to four weeks of configuration and integration (Tally / SAP / your existing e-invoicing setup), one week of pilot at one beat, then phased rollout across the rest of the field network. Every project ships with a named delivery owner in Lucknow.

How is it priced for a mid-sized FMCG distributor in UP?

A one-time deployment fee plus a fixed monthly AMC. Pricing is per-organisation, not per-user or per-distributor, so adding 50 more retailers or 5 more sales reps next quarter does not change your bill. Indicative range: ₹3–10 Lakh deployment + ₹50K–₹1.5 Lakh monthly AMC depending on module scope. Bundle pricing available when SalesPort + AccountBook + CRM are deployed together.
